Ratha kanneer‘s tune is absorbing and Harish Raghavendra’s vocals too lends itself to the tune’s emotions! Yaar veetu‘s lyrics are beautiful and so is Anand Aravindhakshan’s singing over the simple ghatam-like backgrounds. Meenukku is earthy, but a bit too staid as a tune, while Devan magale, with its music and the Christian base is very Harris Jayaraj’ish and pleasant. The soundtrack’s highlight is Para para, with 3 versions; all three singers – Shreya Ghoshal, Chinmayi and GV Prakash Kumar – do wonderfully well given the gorgeous tune and superb violin backdrop. Finally, Rahnanthan finds his groove, with Neer Paravai’s soundtrack!
