Love panlaama‘s lyrics and singing, by STR, are juvenile and banal. The title song is thankfully left to professionals – cool and addictive melody! Hare rama hare krishna is likeable with a pleasant tune, while Maattikittenae‘s techno sound too works smoothly. Un parvaiyilae is highly unconventional in its vocals (Sindhu, Pradeep) and sounds mighty interesting, while STR is in better form in Appan mavanae, backed by a racy sound. Navin’s flute rules completely over the theme, while the soundtrack ends on a high with a Kuthu-for-dummies get-down-and-punch, Kuthu dancer. Barring incredibly excessive auto-tuning, Poda Podi is a pretty neat effort.
