Dubaikku poga porene is plain and staid, with horrendous singing by Rahim. The composer sounds equally bad and off-tune in the short Edakku madakku, while Senthilvelan’s Ooradangum samathula is a pleasant whiff of Ilayaraja’s folk pathos. Orumurai irumurai is strictly a mish-mash with nothing standing out, while the reasonably likeable Pada pada suffers solely due to Yash Golcha’s terrible vocals. Paenjamazhai is a sweet short folk song, with discordant singing, this time by Devendran. Prasanna’s Sinthayile is tuneful, short, but unnecessarily uses a Sting song’s prelude! SS Kumaran seemed promising in his debut – here, he’s massively disappointing! One hit wonder?
