Enadhu uyire, despite all the superfluous sweetness, is actually quite ordinary, much like the seemingly catchy Hawai theevil, that sounds like a 90s track badly inspired by some Harry Belafonte number. Vangakkadal improves the proceedings, but only slightly – this Ilayaraja-styled salute-to-the-leader anthem is striking for the carefully orchestrated, absorbing rhythm section. Ore oru ups the ante further, with a dramatically sweeping tune and intentionally bizarre backgrounds, which oddly fits very well in the overall song, while Arabikkadal too, while being conservatively catchy, has an interesting enough groove to it. Vidyasagar’s foray back into hardcore commercial work is just endurable.
