Vaa daa modi paakalam is not a clarion call to come and look at our Prime Minister. It is instead Arunraja Kamaraj getting further pigeon-holed into his Kabali template, screaming his vocal chords out in a bloody splatter. Pradeep Kumar handles Idhuvum kadanthu pogum‘s cool rock-ballad style melody with grace, particularly the softer phrases. But Kaakichattaiku marupakkam, amidst its glitzy musical soundscape has a corny tune that also unabashedly worships the film’s lead. The soundtrack ends with Hunt of the Shadows, a pretty competent instrumental theme with a solid hook. Arrora/Navin/S.Navin’s latest is several shades below his best, Vil Ambu.
