Shankar Mahadevan is perfect for the high-pitched Thumba poove sundari that Justin layers with a spoofy excess sound that goes pretty well! Ayyayyo too carries that sound, in a largely reggae’ish base, and Vineeth rules over it with his cool vocals. Composer Bijibal’s daughter Daya is cuteness personified singing Paavada, a soulful and native tune that Justin orchestrates just the right way to let the tune and vocals stand out. Soon-to-be composers Masala Coffee Band croon Salsa, the soundtrack’s least interesting, barring the Vedhalam pole hook. Justin’s Malayalam debut is mighty different from his limited Tamil repertoire, but enjoyable nonetheless.
