Tanha Sa Hoon (Music review), Indipop – Lesle Lewis

The title song‘s lyrical melancholy interestingly contrasts with the lively, acoustic sound – wonderful listen. O jaana sounds straight out of a Kenny G album, but with little sax and more vocals. Main jadoo and Pyar ho gaya are painfully mundane 90s pop, but Aaja tu aaja makes a difference with the lovely jazz infusion. Tere bina is a gorgeous ballad featuring a neat flute interlude, while Saawariya calling is the pick of the album with a fantastic, albeit occasionally cringe-worthy Englindi lyrical mix. But the tune and Suchismita Das’s semi-classical vocals. Frequently engaging, largely dated pop sound from Lesle.
