Pattaalam paaruda is generally enthusiastic, but barring the interesting interludes, the tune is just basic, while Ada bum bum is Karthikraja’s leftover from Grahan days – unfortunately outdated. Poochandi kannazhagi has 2 versions and both have the orchestration overpowering the vocals in a jaded tune. Naan endru is where the composer brings his true self, with those enchanting musical pieces so reminiscent of his dad, while in Para para he showcases his full potential in a tune that soars at all the right points brilliantly! Karthikraja’s work in Rettaisuzhi sounds like a pale imitation of his own limited, glory days!
