Kandaen kandaen and Medhuva medhuva are trademarked, Karthikraja styled numbers, exotic tunes, instantly alluring and eminently listenable. Soll soll and its Sadhana Sargam version, Kandum kaanaamal have a middling tune at best, but made terrific by the packaging, Vidyasagar working up some nifty orchestration. Iru vizhiyo is breezy and very pleasant – lovely chorus with a strong Rahman touch, while Nenjathile is an idyllic melody with a mild and thoroughly likeable rhythm. Shorn of any kind of commercial compulsions, even lesser than the Director’s earlier ventures, Pirivom Sandhippom dishes out a completely melody-soaked, dulcet experience in true Karu Pazhaniappan-Vidyasagar tradition!
