Madhu

Madhu is an instantly likeable soundtrack, if it was still 1989. Raja unfortunately sticks to his once-was-good synth style, despite some stirring tunes. This very fact diminishes the appeal of Nilavai sutri and Ketkavillayaa. Don’t get me wrong though. Both are very listenable with the same minimalist style that we are used to from Raja. The mild latin traces in both Dum irundha – a rather relaxed 80s tune and Immaathoondu – an almost-shorn of synth kuthu track, are appealing. That leaves us with the insipid Indha ulagil. It’s perhaps time to get ahead instead of reliving the past, again.
