Debutant Mishkin proves yet again that it’s only the story and its treatment that matters. Bhavana makes an impressive Tamil debut while some of the characters like Ulaganathan, Annaachi and the hero’s cronies display rare, poetic flourishes! The low-budget feel somehow doesn’t hamper the proceedings, though there’s no reason why the hero needs to carry that feel in his emoting. The key twist in the end hits you like a bolt from the blue. Yes, it does seem highly plausible given that character’s circumstances but its conception somehow feels like it was done more for shock value than anything else.
