Manjal veyil is a catchy boy-band style track where Hariharan excels, while Karka is a spruced-up Kaadhal yaanai. Neruppe’s snazzy Arabic touches are evident but the tune reminds you of many other tracks. Paartha mudhal is the mandatory Bombay Jayashree track with the usual minimal-orchestration, strong-on-her vocals feel, where Unni Menon pitches in effectively. The harmonica interludes embellish this song. Uyirile, where the interludes reek of Rahman has an even more minimalistic feel! But the lead vocals and the overall orchestration impress with the ambient sound. For Harris, this album is not groundbreaking. Perhaps Gautam can help Harris achieve that!
