Bhaang ragad ke‘s electronic folk brings alive the tune’s almost-bhajan like sound in Vikas Kumar’s perfectly accented vocals. Vipin’s other, Kharch karod has a punchy electronic sound, but less interesting tune; better in the slower version. Shiraz Uppal’s Mera mann is harmonious, but sounds too common. Mathias Duplessy and Mukhtiyar Ali join again in Aye khuda; like Indian folk set to Greek sensibilities! Laali too has its European sound laid out splendidly with Indian ethos. Bawli booch tops them all – imagine Bob Marley (Sameer Khan’s vocals) singing in Haryanvi, with a doped out chorus! Interesting folk and exotica combo!
