Jo And The Boy (Music review), Malayalam – Rahul Subramanian

Ponvail veezhave seems perfect for Haricharan – the pleasant melody keeps flowing beyond conventional structures and the singer handles it beautifully, ending it amidst a profusion of violins. After getting his sister to sing in his debut, Rahul ropes in Manju to sing Do do do, a sweet sounding children’s song with a lovely kids chorus. Aadivaram and Pinjomal‘s meandering humming take an inordinate amount of the songs, over the already middling tunes. Neeyen kaataai‘s spritely techno sound is likeable, though the tune is a tad too predictable. Jo and the Boy’s music is less interesting compared to Rahul’s debut.
