Om Shanti Om (Music review), Tamil – Vijay Ebenezer

Ennendru solvadho has a nursery rhymish simplicity; occasionally likeable, thanks to Harish Raghavendra and Swetha Mohan. Aalaap Raju breathes life into the already breeze tune of Mazhaithuli azhaga, while Ivaldhana and Kalthondrum would make Harris Jayaraj very proud, given the tunes harping on his style perfectly, and not very different from his current middling form either! Thattungada is standard-issue, archaic sister-wedding song by brother, while Aathoram voodukatti is the mandatory, raunchy item song that doesn’t do anything different. Vijay Ebenezer did start promisingly (Kandaen and Kalakalappu), but his repertoire is heading nowhere very fast; first Ya Ya, and now this!
