London, Paris, New York (Music review), Hindi – Ali Zafar

Like overacting, Ali Zafar actually manages to over-sing in the title song – a functional tune made annoying by Zafar. Thankfully, his tune, lyrics and vocals are much better in Voh dekhnay mein; the acoustic version by Aditi sounds spontaneous and cute. Ting rang is sub-standard Punjabi pop, while Thehree si zindagi sees the leads singing their heart out in a nicely orchestrated melody. The ambient techno sound of Oo lala hardly stands up to its fabulous opening, but Aaja, with Zafar’s psychedelic-rock drawl morphing into pulsating Punjabi pop is the soundtrack’s most appealing! Moderately engaging soundtrack by Ali Zafar.
