Music review: Kavya’s Diary (Telugu – Manu Ramesan)

Hemachandra’s Hayire is breezy and thoroughly entertaining, with a sparkling orchestration while Geetha Madhuri and Pranavi have a ball in the simple, yet immensely catchy Yenno yenno. With a tinge of jazz, Po velipo’s highlight is Tippu’s vocals and Manu’s lovely build-up of the already addictive tune. Sreelekha pulls off O pranama in Bombay Jayashree-style in the Harris Jeyaraj’esque tune even as Karthik and Rita join raindrops in Thelusuko, in a lovely sing-along style…the composer ornaments the slow melody beautifully. Manu Ramesan’s last film, Pidichirukku in Tamil had pretty good music – he takes giant strides here and produces a cracker.
