Pudhu punal has an immediately accessible catchy rhythm overlaid on a haunting tune sung fabulously by Ranjith, Rahul Nambiar, Sam and MLR Karthikeyan; leaves a strong impact! Yennayidhu‘s tune too is instantly endearing, though it follows Thaman’s now-standard melody pattern. Anamika‘s guitar-loaded melody is the short soundtrack’s weakest, but only in comparison – it is a breezy and gorgeously sung track nevertheless, with a memorable hook. The theme tune is appropriately mysterious. Mouna Guru is a tunefully strong offering from Thaman; he seems to be going from strength to strength in Tamil even as he get repetitively staid in Telugu.
