Ghost (Music review), Hindi – Sharib-Toshi

Toshi Sabri and Akram Sabri sing Jalwanuma really well and the tune, in true Sharib-Toshi style, is highly listenable; if only it did not borrow so blatantly from Amr Diab’s Khalik Ma’aya. Sunidhi’s heavily synthesized voice in Aaja khatam sabr is bit too synthetically seductive, much like its tune, while Shaan and Sharib’s Salame salame is a foot-tappingly catchy, though a tad too predictable. Dil ke liye, despite all the shoo-shaa in the orchestration, is outdated. Kahan hai tu may well be composed by Vikram Bhatt; such a familiar and painfully old Vikram Bhatt sound. Functional music for the ghost.

Keywords: Ghost, Sharib-Toshi, Vikram Bhatt

Thanks to Rana Singh for sharing the info on the Amr Diab lift!
