Maanyamaha janagale, with its pumping music and rousing pop tune is appropriately zingy, with excellent vocals by Vineeth and Sachin Warrier, while Shaan excels with his tipsy vocals in the very jazzy Kaathu kaathu; Josy’s sax is used beautifully here! Lavan kashmalan is cleverly composed – a calculated, rhythmic tune, paused by that catchy hook, while Vineeth, Shaan, Rakesh and Sharath seem to be having amazing fun crooning this track! Rahul Nambiar and Vineeth soar along with the incredible melody in Innoree mazhayil – the quality of singing and the haunting melody make this a super listen – a special note of appreciation for Josy’s flute here! The folk’ish Changaayi is strongly reminiscent of Rahman’s early style and works largely because of Vineeth’s effortless singing. Rajesh Menon’s short, sweeping ode to friendship in Snehame is scintillating. Aayiram kaatham builds itself into an energetic stage song, even as Shaan’s backgrounds are pitch perfect. Malarvaadi Arts Club has an incredibly rewarding soundtrack – full marks to Shaan Rahman for the spirited compositions. But Vineeth Srinivasan deserves a special mention here, given he’s the film’s director and is in charge of selecting the tunes – the man rocks with his vocals and overall musical sense!
