Kanti chooputho, beyond its middling tune has something appealing – the chant-like phrase is quite repetitive of 80s Ilayaraja and helps this track considerably. Okkasari wins round one for the voices chosen – Karthik and Shreya Ghoshal. Round two is a semi victory – a reasonably likeable and catchy tune. Telupu rang’s techno sound morphing into a dancy track is solid fun, while Adnan Sami and Andriya try, but don’t really lift the only-mildly interesting Zindhagi. Gundelona is strictly Manisharma material – assembly-line and merely passes muster. Thaman has nailed the sound pretty well…if only he works on his tunes!
