The Mujhe Naulakha-sampling Angelina is considerably better than My Kinda Girl that messes with Choli ke peeche with disastrously irritating results. Humrahee is a surprisingly capable, lovely melody track that gets everything – Raghav’s vocals and the nuanced musical arrangements – bang on! The track Once has an addictive UK-bhangra sound with catchy cues, while Jaadugar’s retro pop sound too is very well handled. Naino waali is very, very filmi, but works due to its familiar sound, unlike labored tracks like Quincy Jones and Reasons. With more hits than misses, Raghav Mathur’s latest album, Identity, is a competent and enjoyable album.
