Ilayaraja’s recent music carries generous traces from his earlier, extraordinary repertoire and its merely personal preference within the older range that one likes or rejects a newer song! Balegara balegara, Budu budu kayya, Ghallu ghallenutha, Jhallu jhallu, Madhu magalu are the tracks that are particularly enticing, with a strong flavor of the composer’s 2 decade old compositions. The title song, Chendulli chendulli and Nannanne noduvanu adhere to his more recent form, but are still enjoyable due to sheer beauty of the simple tunes.
