Music review: Poi Solla Porom (Tamil – MG Sreekumar)

Gandhi nottu has Kailash Kher singing uncomfortably a ridiculous bhangra-styled tune while Indha payanathil is straight out of an ad jingle, just that it’s dragged beyond its lifespan! Kannamoochi turns the mood somber and heartrendingly depicts the struggles of the middle class in owning their residence. Oru vaarthai is irritating to the core with a silly, stale tune while the un-credited remake of Chak de phatte (originally composed by Dhruv Dhalla, the film being Khosla ka ghosla’s remake) continues to annoy even in the Tamil version, more so because of Jassie Gift’s vocals. MG Sreekumar’s Tamil composing debut is listless.
