Bharadwaj gets back his Bollywood-flavoured twang back in the pleasant Aasai oviyam while Malarudhu, despite being reminiscent of Maragadhamani’s Sur hit, Dil mein jaagi, is a very well tuned track with nifty backgrounds. Sailalo – a routine wedding track – is good fun nonetheless and the composer excels in the composition and vocals of Unakkaaga, a passionate, soulful ballad. College vaazhkayila is yet another banal, filmy college track. Gold coated showcases Sandhya’s severely digitized voice, but the tune is catchy enough with rhythmic grooves. Bharadwaj proves yet again that he is capable of music that stands out from the usual.
