Bheemaa (Tamil, Harris Jayaraj)

Ragasiya kanavugal is a sweet, serene duet spoilt only by Madhushree’s terrible Tamil pronunciation, while Mudhal mazhai impresses due to its uncluttered, melodic style. Rangu rangamma’s stereotyped opening does mask a reasonably catchy task further on. The breezy Siru paarvayale perks up the proceedings with a trademark Harris, rhythmic sound and even as the overall arrangement is impressively handled in Oru mugamo, the tune just doesn’t stick. Enadhuyire, reminiscent of Rahman’s Mayilirage (Ah aah) is the pick of the soundtrack for its accordant tune and pleasing orchestration. Harris’ selection in Bheema is rather conventional but definitely makes for pleasant listening.
