Dekho dekho and Chal nache are appropriately dancy fun numbers that gain tremendously from Adnan and Shaan’s spunky singing. Adnan’s overall packaging adds significant groove! Miss India is comparatively jaded but Adnan’s orchestration does elevate it to some level. The retro-qawali sound in Chandani raat is passable – the saving grace being Asha’s vocals – even as Amit Kumar’s contribution is labored. Given Indra Kumar’s track record in raucous, loud comedies, Adnan Sami seems an unlikely choice. But, the once-portly man behind exuberant hits like Kabhi nahi and Lift karade accommodates to the film maker’s style smoothly, with middling results.
