GV Prakash’s score for Oram Po proves that Veyil’s soundtrack gained a lot more from its producer’s taste than the debutante’s talent. In fact, that answers Joshua Sridhar’s relative no-show post Kaadhal too! Here, GVP sounds like the out-of-sorts version of Yuvan, Bharadwaj and Harris, in the bland pop-ballad Idhu enna, the guitar-laden rehash Jigu jickan and the stylishly hollow Yaar iravinai, respectively. T.Rajendar’s rhythm heavy Gun ganapathy is perhaps the most ear-friendly! Despite the middling catchiness of Kozhi kaalu, the language gets mauled between the two singers. The less said about Blaze’s hotchpotch theme, the better. Disappointing fare, this!
