The change of rhythm midway saves the otherwise disjoint Hooray. Yuvan gets into recycle mode with Kaadhal Vandhiruchu, visiting Uriah Heep’s ‘Lady in black’, again! Loosu penne in both versions impresses almost instantly. Podu aattam has Yuvan reusing one of his Telugu ‘Ram’ track liberally and is all noise. Sunitha Sarathy’s cool vocals, besides Yuvan’s orchestration, considerably enhance the title track’s appeal. The item song Yammadi Aathaadi is pointless, complete with Perarasu’s lyrics (?) and full-throated singing by everyone involved. The problem with Vallavan’s music is that there’s more of Simbu’s attitude than Yuvan’s. Need to take charge, Mr. Composer!
