Jassi Gift’s unabashed, note-to-note lift of Shamur’s chartbuster, ‘Let the music play’ for Bisi bisi hudugi and Ilayaraja’s 1979 Tamil hit, ‘Oru thanga radhathil’ (Dharma Yuddham) for Belliya teralli looms uneasily over the soundtrack. Mathangi’s Ee beauty bhomili is utterly absurd while the composer’s own vocals and the tune in Duniya ninde is even more laughable. The only redeeming factor in the soundtrack is the fantastic melody, Eno helutide – very likeable tune and a soft, addictive rhythm! That Jassi Gift is heading nowhere as a composer is a given, but such blatant plagiarism will tarnish whatever little reputation he has!
