Mai pottu lyrically brings to life a nikkah, amidst a perfunctory tune. Hey pennae has a surprisingly Harris Jayaraji’sh tune, but is lovely nonetheless. In Mohini, GVP employs his faux-sufi sound again, and Sathyaprakash helps it glide through, as he does in the Yen ninjam sidharudhu that has a great rock backing. The soundtrack’s best, Yedhedho, sung by Ajesh and Harini is impeccably sweet, layered on an unusual rhythm structure! An Autumn Evening theme is as pleasant as a Vodafone ad jingle, while Kuthala kathaga is pedestrian in every way. Not a patch on , and business-as-usual for GVP.
