Shantanu Moitra’s Maula is standard-issue filmy qawali with only Javed Ali’s singing holding it together. Shantanu’s other song, Tere bin is saccharine-sweet; the tune’s old-world charm, plus Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal wonderful vocals. Ankit Tiwari’s Tu mere paas is his template all through, evoking instant ennui. Prashant Pillai’s Tere liye, a brooding fusion of Dervish style sufi and electronica is intriguing, at best. Khel khel mein, Advaita’s Bollywood debut is in line with their trademark fusion, plus Amitabh Bachchan’s baritone utterances. Gaurav Godkhindi’s Wazir theme is rousing and aptly background’ish. Wazir’s soundtrack is the weakest amongst Bejoy’s three films.
