Yennachu yedhachu owes its existence heavily to Minsara Kanavu’s Vennilave vennilave, and it’s not just the Keeravani raaga base! GVP goes full-on local kuthu for Bittu padam di and that brusque sound goes well with Rokesh’s street-smart lyrics. Dakalti goes one step further, mixing local kuthu with cool techno sound. GVP gets Yuvan to sing the soundtrack’s best, Mutham kodutha, a hyper catchy song that makes fantastic use of the thavil. The title song cleverly rehashes the Ganesha song, Bomma bomma tha in spoofy tone, while Rain Dance‘s jarring percussion mars the main tune. GVP is getting his mojo back!
