Irumbu Kuthirai (Music review), Tamil – G V Prakash Kumar

Barring the fact that GVP sings about pasta instead of a woman he’s supposed to address, Penne penne has a lovely tune, beautifully crafted with the accordion sound and that surprising ethereal second interlude featuring Yaazhini! Angae ippo is only mildly engaging, the tune not quite sitting comfortably atop that EDM sound, while Pondicherry too is disenchanting kuthu. Alaipaayum‘s early Harris Jayaraj’ish lilt helps it sail through, and is missing credit for another male singer besides Vijay Prakash. Hello brother‘s only highlight is it referring Shankar Ganesh’s Thai Veedu hit, Unnai azhaithadhu! Except Penne, underwhelming stuff from GV Prakash Kumar!
