Yaemaarum janame’s ambient sound is instantly enticing. Sean’s vocals too, besides GKB’s hard-hitting lyrics and the the guitar usage. In Verichodi ponathada too, guitars play a huge role, though the bluegrass’y tune is less engaging. Kalyani Nair sounds mesmerising, mouthing Vairamuthu’s beautiful lines, in Kadhala, a delightful ballad that fuses Rahman’s Pachai nirame sound with tabla, to phenomenal effect. Munne yen munne is Santhosh Narayanan rub-off effect – violin’y goodness and wonderfully sung by Sathya Prakash. Porappa nadappa is an intriguing kuthu-plus-electronic-sound experiment – interesting outcome too. Sean’s sophomore soundtrack is as fresh and as musically distinct as his debut.
