GVP builds Yelelo wonderfully, and sings it well too; the world music and folk mix is enticing! Gana Bala and Vijay Prakash complement each other well in the catchy Lovely ladies, backed by some exotic sound and Aryan Dinesh’s rap. The composer’s eclectic orchestration is the clear highlight in Penne, but the soft, winsome melody isn’t far behind either. Idhayam unnai thedudhe has an expansive sound and GVP confidently carries the vocals of this engaging pathos number himself too. The theme – A Restless Soul – is interesting enough. GVP gets his mojo back after his last two lackluster soundtracks!
