Tu hi tu and Chand pal ke humsafar are largely pleasant, but their overall languorous sound pulls both down significantly. Tu hi tu’s unplugged version by Vijay Prakash brings the tune out better and is a good listen! Shivam Pathak’s vocals help Ai meri jaaniya; as much as the soft and nuanced piano-based backgrounds. The ensemble song, Aaj main ho gayi jawaan references retro Hindi film music styles and is a fairly listenable mish-mash. That Nagesh Kukunoor’s film will have offbeat music is a given, but it need not necessarily be off and beaten, like it sounds in Mod’s soundtrack.
