Let’s Party has a slow, addictive charm despite the dated filmy sound, much like Mind blowing girls and Awaara, and Ganesh continues to surprise with his singing. The rap-mixed mish-mash Zara suniyo G just passes muster, while Bolydude Ganeshan seems to focus more on the orchestration and lyrics than the tune…and falls flat. The album’s best numbers are the slower ones – the vibrantly percussioned Jiya jo laga; the track not listed in the CD sleeve, Aahista; the expansive sounding Jaana na, and Tere dil mein, where Irshad Kamil’s lyrics take over beautifully. More-than-competent effort, tunes and singing by Ganesh!
