Right from the serene, Calpton’ish Dil gaaye ja, till the almost-fusion ghazal’ish Khudahaafiz, Raasta-Man is vintage Lucky Ali. Rehne de and Tauba tauba display his earlier, Sunoh-style musical streak all over again, while the reflective Duniya ke samundar holds your attention with his superb vocals and an interesting choice of instruments. With you seems filmy, but has a thoroughly involving hook, even as Main kya karoon‘s upbeat, rock and roll’ish sound is instantly catchy. But, despite the odd female backing vocals, O Rahi is the best of the lot! Raasta-Man beautifully rounds-up Lucky’s earlier, half-heartedly released tracks with new material.
