Raghava Lawrence’s personal influence in the lyrics of Nilli nillu (he is credited for the lyrics) is apparent and even Thaman’s tune has a quaint, rhythmic charm, despite the overall predictable outlook! Sangili bungili leeches on familiar and well-known folk tunes and works only vaguely, that too because of its funny lyrics, while Karuppu perazhaga is a competently catchy number that gains in generous doses from Dharshana’s appealing vocals. Kodiyavanin kadhaya is the title song and it fails to make any kind of specific impact. Despite this being a 4-song soundtrack, Thaman makes his presence felt, though not so impressively.
