Prema Kavali (Music review), Telugu – Anoop Rubens

Dum dum is pedestrian; same old latino rhythm and a stale tune. But things perk up with the breezy melody Chirunavve visirave – Vijay Prakash’s vocals are impactful and the catchy backgrounds help. Tolakari chinukai is brilliant – a lovely rain-soaked tune, scintillating vocals by Shreya Ghoshal and Ranjith, and imaginative orchestration! Listen to my heart is too flat for comfort, but has an enthusiastic tune nevertheless, while KK’s Manasanta mukkalu chesi plays on its foot-tapping rhythm cleverly to produce a cracker! But, Nuvve nuvve is likeable only in a Yash Chopra’ish way! Anoop is definitely on the right track!
