Shamir Tandon’s Amchi Mumbai and Unmaad ranjit are ideally blasts from the past; 90s style tracks that seem misplaced this year. Strangely, the latter’s alternate version, sung by Tauseef Akhtar is a considerably better listen! Sunil Singh’s Maula mere maula starts off reasonably well, but his own vocals and the ennui it evokes shortly after the opening are its undoing. If anything works well in the soundtrack it is Band Inferno’s Saare jahan se; poor vocals do play spoilsport, but the music sails through, at least. Another soundtrack for the heck of it and for the sake of TV promotion.
