Azhagu azhagu is short and sweet; Bela Shende sounds great but the lyrics seem forced. Kacheri kacheri is typical Imman material – stock rhythm, albeit catchy, and a tune that starts well buts ends tamely. Kadavule‘s both the versions are interesting – Palash Sen’s (Euphoria) Tamil debut in the slower, Indian’ish version is confidently assuring, despite its striking orchestral similarities with Kannaalane (Bombay)! Despite the spritely work in the arrangements where Imman falters are in item’ish numbers like Vaada vaada. Vithai vithai too is completely hollow, hopelessly rehashing every known element in a Tamil masala song. Palash helps, Imman doesn’t.
