Vineeth Srinivasan is at his usual best in Ekanaay and Rashee adds amazing support with a remarkable tune and inventive arrangements even as the composer gets behind the mike for the brooding and melodic Akalukayano. Pritam-styled orchestration adds character to Gayathri’s Iniyethu janman while its second interlude showcases Rashee’s mighty ambitions! En ormakal’s mild rock base is liltingly interesting and Karthik’s delightful vocals aid the melody in Orkkunu njan. Benny Dayal’s Ormakale and Franco’s Innen nejile are the album’s more pacier numbers – both are catchy and arranged sensibly. Rashee’s imaginative tunes work pretty well in this oddly titled album!
