Chandni raat is definitely likeable with pleasing arrangements, while the techno-style, groovy Lagan lagi and Dekha maine nahi make for interesting listen. The rest of album goes completely downhill with tracks like Main aur tu, Laut aao, Tere bina and Jab tumhari that sound terribly contrived. The mild sufi blend amid mod backgrounds in Jisko bhi lageya is however appealing but the composers (Sachin Gupta and Ahmed Jehanzeb himself) ambitiously play with an Ismail Darbar-like sound and fall flat, in Kaho ek din. AJ’s vocals too sound amateurish in Bol mahiya. AJ fails to make a dent with Laut aao.
