Sakhiyaan is straight out of a Subash Ghai soundtrack and is fairly predictable in its nakhraas. Sach na batana is really engaging for its reggae base and Kailash’s vocals sitting upon its unique style – in fact, Udit’s second version falls massively flat compared to Kailash’s and that remix is a plain insult! Bikhar gayee is assembly line melancholy. I loved the last two albums by Kailash-Naresh-Paresh duo. But in Pranali, the trio disappoint – Sach na batana is indeed their trademark, but the rest of the two tracks are mediocre. Guess it has much to do with the director’s requirements!
