Despite Chinnaponnu’s full-throated, racuous rendition, the title song seems pointless. For The Elarai, Gana Bala becomes Ghana Bala, crooning an African kuthu that also cleverly plays jazzy sax – interesting concoction! Kandangi selai could have easily been Devi Sri Prasad’s song! The composer rocks the soundtrack with Onnuna rendu, a floor scorcher of a dance track sung superbly by Vijay Antony, and En anbe, a lovely melody with unique tune and orchestration that sounds like it has jumped out of Rahman’s Paarthaale Paravasam, brilliantly sung by Vijay Prakash and Ramya NSK. Simon continues to show promise after Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu!
