Engineering is a drab, mindlessly old-fashioned college track. In Jagada jagada, Sunil mashes remixes of Ilayaraja’s iconic numbers to reasonably good effect. Silambarasan has another, noisier version of the same, titled Simbu’s Power Mix. Vennelamma is an over-wrought melody with excessive everything, while Sri Jyothi steals the show in I am sorry vinara – cutesy hip-hop sound. Telisi is that other melody where Sunil gets the mix right – foot-tapping, with a hummable tune! Anirudh Ravichander sings Sachin Tendulkar as if he has an upset stomach and even the music hopelessly touches upon Kolaveri, to painful results. Middle bench soundtrack.
