Amaal Malik’s Kuch to hai is a simple tune, evoking classic waltz-style ballads, but in Armaan Malik’s vocals, it’s a good listen. Babli Haque’s sufi-tinged Jeena marna is largely predictable, but pleasant, in two versions, by Altamash Faridi, and the other by Palak Muchhal. Ankhiyaan, composed by Arjuna Harjai, is a pretty good melancholic Punjabi number and Kanika Kapoor handles the song’s feel pretty well. Ankit Tiwari’s Sehra pushes its luck way too far, given the hugely templatized sound, and Dr.Zeus’ grandstanding music in Chal utth bandeya too merely passes muster. Surprisingly decent soundtrack, but for the last two songs.
