Ennathan Pesuvatho (Music review), Tamil – D.Imman

Posted by Karthik

Sriram Parthasarathy’s pleasant voice seems perfect for the lovely melody of Tholaivil irukkum, with Imman’s Ilayaraja’ish sound, and nifty touches like that santoor. Imman’s arrangement is phenomenal in Nenje nenje and Harshdeep Kaur’s vocals adds amazing value to the Charukesi’ish tune. Yaro yaro‘s tune, in comparison, is a bit jaded but Imman’s strings-based orchestration and chorus are really good! Sabke vinathi, with Raqeeb Alam’s lyrics is aptly prayer-like. There’s Ilayaraja again in the amiable guitar in Adada, with Aalaap Raju in superb form in the catchy Latino-infused song. Post Tenaliraman, Imman seems poised to get back to his fantastic form.
